The programme is exclusively available to individuals who are official residents of Germany or France. This means you must possess a valid identity card or residency card issued by the French or German authorities. The program is eligible for persons between 18 and 27 years old during the period of July 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023. Therefore, to benefit from the travel pass, you must be born between July 2, 1995, and December 31, 2005.
It is crucial that you accurately select your country of residency during the registration process. The conditions for travel within your country of residence using an Interrail France Germany Pass are applicable.
If you were born on 19 August 1995 and your departure date is 15 August 2023, you are eligible to travel with the Interrail France Germany Pass, even if you turn 28 during your trip. If you were born on 1 July 1995 and plan to travel on the earliest possible date, i.e. 1 July 2023, you would already be 28. Consequently, the age criteria would not be met and you would not be eligible to travel with the Interrail France Germany Pass. If you were born on 1 December 1995 and intend to start travelling on 15 December 2023, you would already have turned 28 on the day of your first trip. Consequently, the required age criteria would not be met and you would be ineligible to travel with the Interrail France Germany Pass. If your birthdate is August 19, 2005, you are eligible to travel on the day your turn 18. In this case, August 19, 2023.
