To travel with the mPass, you will need to have a smartphone. The minimum system requirements are Android 6.0 and up, or iOS 13.0 or later. Once you start travelling with your Pass, the Interrail system will need to verify your mobile Pass at least once every 3 days to ensure its validity and prevent fraud. If you do not have a smartphone or if your device does not support the required Android/iOS versions, you will be unable to use the mobile pass. However, if you are traveling with someone who has a device running the Rail Planner App and meets the requirements, you can request them to add your mobile pass to their device. The app allows for multiple mobile passes to be added, so your companion can accommodate your pass as well.
