What is included in the Interrail France Germany Pass?

Depending on your country of residence (France or Germany), the Interrail France Germany Pass will allow you to travel in the other country. Please note that you cannot use the Interrail France Germany Pass to travel in your own country of residence. This means that as a French resident, you can travel in Germany, but not in France. Vice-versa, if you are a German resident, you can only travel in France. Travel to or from your country of residence is also included during one outbound journey and one inbound journey that occur during travel days at any point in your trip. Outbound and inbound journeys are not extra travel days, therefore you will have to use one of your 7 travel days to leave your country and one to return to your country of residence).

• 7 days of unlimited train travel: You can travel on as many trains as you like on each of your 7 travel days.
• 1 month of adventure: You can use your 7 travel days at any time within a 1-month period from your chosen start date. Your trip must begin within the travel period, which is between 1 July and 31 December 2023. 
• Within a travel day, you are free to take as many trains as you wish. However, it's important to note that certain trains in Europe, such as high-speed trains and night trains, may require seat reservations. These reservations come with additional fees charged by the railway carriers and are not included in your Interrail Pass. Seat reservations are not included in the Interrail France Germany Pass, so it's essential to read and understand the reservation policies and guidelines. In Germany, however, reservations for high-speed trains are not compulsory, so it is possible to use them without making a reservation, and without paying this fee.
